There are imprint companies that simply slap a name (usually not even in your correct corporate color) on an "America the Beautiful" or similarly generic calendar. They don't care about anything more than getting your name on an often ugly pre-printed calendar. (Which ends up where? Yes, in the trash.) They are definitely cheap ... and you get what you pay for. Ineffective calendars.
And advertising firms -- certainly amazing at many things-- can certainly make beautiful calendars. However, their cost is frequently enormous. Additionally, since ad firms don't specialize in calendars, they can't be as efficient, nor do they have the knowledge & experience of a specialized company.
